Water Restoration Technician

Water • Fire • Mold Damage Restoration

Growth Opportunity into Lead Technician and Project Management

On Call Restoration is a well-established and growing restoration company seeking a dependable, hard-working Water Restoration Technician. This is a working position for someone who isn't afraid to get dirty, work with their hands, and take pride in helping customers recover from water, fire, and mold damage.

Our technicians work alongside a team serving residential, commercial, and industrial properties throughout Long Island and Tri State area . Local and occasional regional travel is required.

Responsibilities

  • Perform water extraction and structural drying using specialized equipment
  • Set up and monitor air movers, dehumidifiers, and drying systems
  • Perform demolition and removal of damaged materials when required
  • Conduct mold remediation and fire damage cleanup following industry standards
  • Clean, sanitize, and deodorize affected areas
  • Take moisture readings and document drying progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation using mobile apps and cloud-based systems
  • Communicate professionally with customers regarding job progress
  • Operate company equipment safely and maintain a clean work environment
  • Work alongside other technicians to complete projects efficiently and on schedule
  • Participate in after-hours and emergency response rotation as needed

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of verifiable experience with established restoration company .
  • Basic knowledge of water damage, mold remediation, Asbestos and fire restoration procedures
  • Familiarity with moisture meters, extraction equipment, and drying equipment
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work in physically demanding environments
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
  • Must be able to work occasional nights, weekends, and emergency calls
  • Non-smoker preferred

Preferred Qualifications

  • IICRC WRT Certification
  • IICRC AMRT Certification
  • IICRCFSRT Certification
  • Asbestos/ lead Abatement a plus
  • Experience with Xactimate or restoration management software
  • High school diploma or equivalent
