Job Description:
Trails End Taphouse & Restaurant is in search of an outgoing individual who loves teaching and making other feel special to lead our restaurant service team. This position is responsible for the hiring, training front of house team members and orchestrating service 4-5 nights a week. The Ideal candidate will have prior experience as a lead server or restaurant manager and the ability to effectively communicate with all personality types and communication styles. Experience managing sales and labor is a must for success in this role. All applicants must be at least 21 years of age and available to work evenings and weekends. Responsibilities: 
  • Supervise all FOH staff as acting manager on duty 
  • Ensure exceptional guest experiences, finding positive resolutions to any and all guest issues. 
  • Maintain training and service standards set forth in current training manual while looking for opportunities to improve upon it. 
  • Educate and train team members in all aspects of the FOH 
  • Uphold all cash handling procedures 
  • Create and adjust staff schedules to meet restaurant needs in operations and profitability 
  • Adhere to all safety and sanitation regulations 

Qualifications: 
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a leadership role. 
  • Night and weekend availability 
  • High level of knowledge around food, craft beer, wine, cider, and spirits 
  • Experience with Toast POS and Restaurant 365 software a plus
  • Have or obtain upon hire, a valid: Washington State Food Worker's Card & Class 12 M.A.S.T. Permit 
  • Ability to thrive working on their feet up to 8-10 hours in a day 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to be used in external and in house communications 
  • Ability to effectively maintain service standards and financial benchmarks in both the short and long term. 
  • An ability to master new technology apps and computer systems quickly
