Job description

At Mother's Market, our Restaurant Servers create memorable guest experiences through friendly service, attention to detail, and a passion for food. You'll serve meals, assist guests, and help maintain a warm, welcoming environment where quality and care come first. This is more than a serving role, it's a chance to be part of a team that nourishes our community.

Hourly Pay: $16.90 hourly

What You'll Do

Serve hot and cold food items in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
Interact with guests and team members to ensure timely, accurate orders
Explain menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods
Deliver food and beverages promptly and with care
Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining area, and serving stations
Assist with beverage preparation (hot and cold drinks)
Act as host when needed and ensure guests feel welcome
Operate POS systems, handle payments, and follow proper cash procedures
Report safety hazards, maintenance needs, or accidents to management
Support teammates during busy periods and shift transitions

What You Bring

Experience & Skills:
Prior restaurant or serving experience preferred
Basic math skills and comfort using a point-of-sale system
Strong communication skills; fluent in English
Knowledge of food handling, safety, and presentation standards

Teamwork & Service:
Friendly, approachable, and reliable
Ability to stay focused and composed during high-volume service
Enthusiastic about guest satisfaction and teamwork
Willing to jump into other roles as needed (e.g., host, runner, busser)

Physical Requirements

Stand and walk for extended periods
Lift and carry trays or food items (up to 50 lbs.), up to 100 times/day
Bend, reach, and kneel regularly; work in hot or cold environments
Comfortable working in a busy, sometimes noisy setting

Schedule Requirements

Available to work various shifts, including weekends, evenings, and holidays
