Description

the girl & the fig is hiring a Server to join our team in Sonoma. This role is ideal for someone with experience in a full-service restaurant who enjoys working with guests, sharing knowledge about food and wine, and creating a memorable dining experience.

We are part of a Sonoma-based restaurant group with multiple concepts, catering, and events. Our focus is on high-quality ingredients, thoughtful service, and creating a welcoming and engaging atmosphere for every guest.

As a Server at the girl & the fig, you'll guide guests through their dining experience from start to finish. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tables while maintaining a high level of service.

Pay & Schedule

  • $18.47/hour + tips
  • Full-time and part-time positions available

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be responsible for both guest interaction and service execution throughout each shift, including:

  • Greeting guests and introducing menu offerings
  • Explaining menu items, specials, and any updates or changes
  • Making thoughtful food and beverage recommendations
  • Taking and entering orders accurately using the POS system
  • Delivering food and beverages in a timely manner
  • Monitoring guest satisfaction and responding to requests promptly
  • Processing payments and closing out checks
  • Maintaining clean and organized service areas
  • Supporting team members to ensure smooth service flow

Required Experience & Skills

  • Previous experience as a server in a full-service or fine dining restaurant
