Job description

We are a small Maine, family owned and operated company. We are recruiting for a long term, career minded individual. Previous managerial experience is required, candidates without managerial experience will not be considered. Ideally that experience would be within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Starting salary for General Managers is $52,000 and we pay more for experience!
The General Manager is responsible for running a profitable restaurant and for making sure the restaurant meets McDonald's critical customer standards of Quality, Service, and Cleanliness. These standards are high, so organization and planning are key! The General Manager works with their supervisor to set the restaurant's goals and builds a plan to achieve those goals.
Other key responsibilities include:
  • Leading the Department Managers in setting department specific goals and following up on their progress towards those goals. Providing mentoring and direction to continuously improve those departments and in turn the restaurant overall.
  • Hiring, training, and developing Shift Managers and Crew Members to ensure that the restaurant team has the right skills to succeed.
  • You will work directly for the local owner/operator who cares about your personal development.
  • General Managers will also be responsible for internal communication, safety, security, and promoting a positive environment so the entire team has a fulfilling experience as well as guests.
