Day-to-Day Ingredients - Responsibilities
As a Restaurant Maintenance Supervisor, you will:
  • Oversee a team of 4-9 technicians, including one Preventative Maintenance Technician, and lead, coach, and hold accountable team members to ensure consistent execution of maintenance standards, service levels, and safety expectations
  • Ensure 95%+ facility and equipment uptime through proactive maintenance strategies
  • Oversee equipment maintenance, repair and performance of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, commercial refrigeration, kitchen equipment, and building systems
  • Prioritize and manage reactive and preventative work orders using CMMS tools
  • Develop, monitor, and improve preventative maintenance programs, ensuring consistent execution through Preventative Maintenance Technicians
  • Balance preventative and reactive maintenance work to optimize equipment uptime, reduce emergency repairs, and control maintenance costs
  • Conduct facility assessments and identify capital improvement needs
  • Provide guidance and escalation support for complex repair issues, ensuring appropriate assignment to Maintenance Technicians or external vendors
  • Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service performance
  • Ensure compliance with health codes, safety standards, ADA, and brand requirements
  • Coordinate emergency response and after-hours maintenance coverage
  • Analyze maintenance metrics to improve efficiency, reliability, and cost control
  • Coach, train, and performance-manage maintenance team members with a focus on safety

What You Bring to the Table - Required Experience
As a Restaurant Maintenance Supervisor, you must have:
  • 7+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience
  • 5+ years supporting restaurants, food service, or multi-site facilities
  • Proven experience managing preventative maintenance programs
  • Advanced knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment and building systems
  • Strong understanding of health regulations, building codes, and safety standards
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop technical teams
  • Experience managing vendors and external service providers
  • Solid project management, prioritization, and problem-solving skills
  • Working knowledge of CMMS platforms and Microsoft Office tools
  • EPA 608 Universal Certification and OSHA 30
  • Associate's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience

Where & How You'll Work
This role is field based, supporting restaurants across an assigned market or region. You'll travel frequently to partner with Operations, provide onsite support, and maintain strong relationships with leaders and teams in the field. When not traveling, you'll work from your home office, balancing independent work with virtual collaboration to support ongoing business needs. Success in this role requires fulltime availability, flexibility to adjust to evolving operational priorities, and the ability to travel regularly-including day trips, overnight travel, and extended market visits. While most travel will occur within your assigned market or region, some out of market support may be required based on business needs.
Candidates must reside within the region they support and be able to travel throughout that area as needed.
