Job description

Kitchen Manager

Anchorage, AK

$75,000 to $100,000 Base + Incentives


The Kitchen Manager will work closely with the Executive Chef and restaurant leadership to ensure the kitchen is prepared, organized, properly staffed, and consistently delivering quality food and service.


You'll also be responsible for:

• Leading and developing the BOH team

• Planning prep and production around business levels

• Managing food inventory, ordering, receiving, waste, and product usage

• Monitoring food and labor costs

• Keeping standards high for quality, consistency, cleanliness, and food safety

• Working closely with the Executive Chef and GM to address operational challenges

• Training cooks and developing future kitchen leaders

• Stepping in and leading from the front when the restaurant gets busy


What We're Looking For

5+ years of professional culinary experience

2+ years leading a kitchen team or supervising shifts

• Experience working in a busy, high volume operation

• A solid understanding of food cost, labor, inventory, and kitchen production

• The ability to keep a team focused and organized during high pressure service

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• A hands on approach to managing the kitchen

• A strong commitment to food quality, safety, and sanitation
