General Summary of Job Duties: The General Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of Mi Casa, including but not limited to financial performance, customer service, marketing, and overall management of the restaurant operations
Principle Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Responsible for all aspects of Mi Casa Latin Restaurant.
  • Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operation.
  • Deliver superior service and maximize customer satisfaction.
  • Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints.
  • Regularly review product quality and research new vendors.
  • Organize and supervise shifts.
  • Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity.
  • Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products.
  • Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations.
  • Manage restaurant's good image and suggest ways to improve it.
  • Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
  • Create detailed reports on weekly, monthly, and annual revenues and expenses.
  • Promote the brand in the local community through word-of-mouth and restaurant events.
  • Recommend ways to reach a broader audience (e.g. discounts and social media ads).
  • Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices.
  • Implement policies and protocols that will maintain future restaurant operations.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills, Education & Other Requirements:
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) in restaurant management.
  • Ability to manage a team of employees, resolve conflicts, and maintain a positive work environment.
  • Adept at implementing new marketing strategies to increase profits, including the creation of a social media presence.
  • Knowledgeable of profit and loss management, food and labor cost control, and inventory management practices.
  • A passion for hospitality and superior customer service.
  • A demonstrated ability to create a great working environment for all staff members.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Hospitality, or a related field (preferred but not required).
