Be a part of a brand new restaurant opening in downtown Harrisonburg! We are looking for FOH staff for a chef owned full service restaurant with a focus on a lively bar and locally inspired eclectic plates. Candidates will play a vital role in creating, from the ground up, a welcoming, and memorable guest experience, working with the restaurant as a whole to anticipate and surpass guests expectations.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about hospitality, enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a strong opening team focused on building a restaurant concept that is welcoming and fun for both guests and team members.
We are currently hiring for all FOH positions including hosting, serving, bartending and support staff. Team members are expected to maintain high standards of hospitality, efficiency, cleanliness, and guest engagement while contributing to a positive and collaborative team culture.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional guest service through professionalism, attentiveness, and positive guest interactions.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, ingredients, beverage selections, and daily specials.
  • Accurately enter orders and process transactions using POS systems.
  • Assist guests with menu recommendations and answering questions regarding food and beverage offerings.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation standards.
  • Complete opening, running side work, and closing duties according to established procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with kitchen and FOH staff to ensure smooth service execution and timely communication.
  • Follow all sanitation, food safety, alcohol service, and health department guidelines.
  • Maintain professionalism and composure in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Help to build a team-oriented culture focused on hospitality, accountability, and consistency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall restaurant operations.
Qualifications
  • Previous restaurant or hospitality experience preferred, but not required for the right candidate.
  • Experience in upscale, high-volume restaurants and from scratch kitchens is a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
  • Positive attitude with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-focused environment.
  • Availability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.
