Department Overview

The U.S. Restaurant Development (USRD) team is responsible for the real estate, design, coordination, construction, and support of nearly 14,000 restaurants in the U.S. The USRD Planning & Analytics Technology team is responsible for the business applications that support these disciplines including Location Management, Project Management, Budget Management, and Reporting.


Duties

People

  • Facilitates team members' professional growth through leadership, training, and mentoring.
  • Supports the development and training of end users and customers.
  • Solicits and incorporates feedback on applications, tools, and reports, as appropriate.
  • Supports knowledge transfer across technology and analytics resources in other MHQ departments.

Technology Development, Support, Research

  • Participates in Agile events supporting USRD application development, including Sprint Reviews, Backlog Refinement, and Retrospectives.
  • Partners with USRD stakeholders to define requirements and develop designs for new and existing applications.
  • Collaborates with business and technology teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.
  • Develops prototypes and proof-of-concept solutions using Visual Studio, Python, and other languages, as needed.
  • Develops queries and data sources for reporting using SQL and/or Alteryx.
  • Develops business automation tools using Smartsheet APIs and other software integrations, as applicable.
  • Researches AI tools and develops prototypes and solutions to enhance USRD operations.
  • Prepares ad hoc reporting for leadership meetings and presentations using Alteryx Designer workflows, Power BI, and Microsoft Excel.

Relationships

Key relationships include IT Technical Product Management, USRD leadership, and the USRD Real Estate, Construction, and Asset Management teams.

Qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Experience developing and integrating APIs between software platforms.
  • Working knowledge of Visual Studio and Python.
  • Knowledge of AI agent development and AI-based tools.
  • Familiarity with Alteryx for data collection, cleansing, integration, and automation.
  • Familiarity with Power BI for reporting and data modeling.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an emphasis on VBA and automation.

Background

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Smartsheet capabilities is preferred.
  • Experience in Real Estate or Construction is a plus.
Compensation

Bonus Eligible: Yes

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $93,208.00 - $116,510.00 USD per year
