What you will be doing
  • Promptlyclear and reset used tables. Remove dirty stock to dish area and breakdown trays. Take soiled linen to designated area and/or Housekeeping Department for laundering.
  • Stockand maintain service stations with the proper supplies before, during and after each shift.
  • Setup and refill coffee-to-go station in the lobby, and keep it replenished, as needed. Keep area picked up and clear.
  • Promptlyassist servers in the pre-bussing of tables and delivery of food orders.
  • Assist in the general cleaning and maintenance of the restaurant.

In Room Dining-

The Position: Room Service Server
Reporting Relationship: Restaurant/Food and Beverage Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Position Summary:
To serve food and beverage to customers who choose to dine in their hotel room while providing courteous,
professional, efficient service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
Set up orders accurately and deliver to rooms within approximately 20-30 minutes.
Follow proper tray set up for all other orders such as silverware, napkins, appropriate condiments,
beverages any special requests, etc. Check complete food order to ensure all have been set on tray for
delivery
Complete knowledge of menus.
Provide courteous service and professional phone manners.
Deliver orders to the rooms immediately following hotel/brand delivery standards.
Place call to guest 5-10 minutes after meal delivery to see if all is satisfactory.
Know, understand and follow cashier and room charge procedures.
Develop a complete knowledge of service standards for beer, liquor and wine, complying with alcohol
awareness procedures and applicable laws.
Clean and restock room service area. Complete required side work.
Promptly retrieve solid dishes from hallways and guest rooms as needed.
Perform additional duties as required.
Requirements:
Able to communicate accurately and effectively in verbal and written form with guests and associates so
as to respond accurately and completely to people to give directions, instructions, information, answer
questions and provide service as required.
Stand or walk for varying lengths of time, sometimes for long periods.
Push and pull heavy carts up to approximately ten (10) pounds.
Lift and carry approximately twenty (20) pounds to handle trays of dishes, glasses etc.

Hourly Pay Rate: $16.90

  • Frequent fine motor skills, use of hands and fingers for keyboarding/typing, utilizing a mouse or trackpad, writing, and operating office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Occasionally required to stand, walk, bend, reach, or carry items.
  • Ability to lift and/or move 10-25 pounds as needed (e.g., files, office supplies).
  • Visual ability to read from a computer screen and printed materials including close visual focus for extended periods and color differentiation (for certain roles).
  • Ability to hear and participate in conversations and meetings, use phone and/or headset
