Full Time; $17.50 / Hour Position Title : Mitchellville Rest Area Supervisor Department : Iowa Department of Transportation (Iowa DOT) Reports To : FBG Management Position Summary The Rest Area Supervisor plans, coordinates, and supervises the operation and maintenance of the Mitchellville Rest Areas and Scales Site.This position ensures facilities are clean, safe, and fully operational while supervising maintenance personnel and contractors. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Supervise and schedule rest area maintenance staff. Inspect rest areas to ensure cleanliness, safety, and compliance with Iowa DOT standards

Coordinate custodial services, outside responsibilities, snow, and ice removal, and building maintenance. Monitor restroom sanitation and replenish supplies. Inspect lighting, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and water systems; arrange repairs as needed.

Maintain records of inspections, maintenance activities, and employee performance. Order supplies and monitor inventory. Respond to emergencies, accidents, vandalism, and weather-related incidents.

Ensure compliance with OSHA, environmental, and Iowa DOT safety regulations. Train employees on equipment operation, safety procedures, and customer service. Coordinate with contractors, law enforcement, and other DOT personnel.
