The Branch Manager ensures the provision of safe, effective respiratory service and products to patients at home including therapeutics, diagnostics, and respiratory equipment. This is a field-based, hands-on respiratory therapist/leadership position that requires a candidate with the drive and skill to be an excellent clinician, patient advocate, and positive representative of PromptCare. This responsibility extends to a 24-hour basis in coordination with the department Director. It also extends to a 24-hour / 7-day basis in accordance with the nature of care which PromptCare provides


Reports to: Regional Director of Respiratory Operations

Job Type: Full-Time, Exempt

Job Location: Elmsford, NY


Requirements

  • Must be a graduate of an accredited Respiratory School and must have current Respiratory Care Practitioner state licensure in the state inquiring of employment and in good standing
  • Must be willing to get cross-licensed in other states as determined by the Regional Director of Respiratory Operations, at the company's expense
  • Must have a valid driver's license and automobile insurance in good standing
  • At least 5 years' experience as a working Respiratory Therapist is required. Experience in the Homecare/DME setting is highly desirable
  • Must have the desire and skill to manage a team of Respiratory Therapists. Previous experience managing RTs in the field is highly desirable
  • CRTT certification is highly desirable
  • Current CPR certification is required
  • Basic understanding of financial reporting is highly desirableย 

Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

  • Confidentiality and Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Regulations:
  • Keep patient and financial information confidential in accordance with company procedures and HIPAA regulations.
  • Ensures the privacy and security of health information

Supervision and Collaboration:

  • Train and educate new staff members, documenting their orientation.
  • Collaborate with the Distribution Managers and Director of Purchasing to properly manage inventory and equipment needs
  • Work closely with the Regional Director on branch operations
  • Work closely with the Regional Director of Sales on new patient starts
  • Manage scheduling and dispatching of RTs, RTAs and Technicians in Brightree, Transport Manager and Brightree Mobile Delivery
  • Collaborates with Sales Executives and Liaisons to ensure patients are scheduled and set on a timely basis for the achievement of Branch growth goals
  • Fosters an environment of growth as part of the Regional Leadership Team

Plan of Service/Care:

  • Ensure proper initiation, implementation, and evaluation of patient Plans of Service
  • Triage patient issues and new discharges
  • In collaboration with the Regional Director of Operations, the Branch Manager leads in implementing clinical and organizational process changes

Continuity of Care:

  • Assist with scheduling new hospital and outpatient set-ups and follow-up visits
  • Participate in on-call rotations
