Roeschke Law is a dedicated Social Security Disability law firm committed to providing exceptional legal representation and compassionate client service. We are seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Human Resources Manager to oversee our human resources operations and payroll administration while supporting our growing team.


Position Summary

The Human Resources Manager is responsible for managing all aspects of human resources and payroll administration. This position plays a key role in recruiting and retaining talented employees, ensuring compliance with employment laws, maintaining personnel records, and accurately processing payroll and employee timekeeping.


Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Human Resources

* Manage the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and offboarding employees.

* Coordinate employee orientation and onboarding processes.

* Administer employee disciplinary actions and assist with employee terminations in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.

* Maintain accurate and confidential employee personnel files and HR records.

* Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures.

* Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

* Respond to employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and employment matters.

* Assist management with employee relations, performance management, and conflict resolution.

Payroll Timekeeping

* Process bi-weekly payroll accurately and on schedule.

* Review, verify, and maintain employee time and attendance records.

* Resolve payroll discrepancies and timekeeping issues.

* Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws.

* Maintain payroll records and prepare payroll reports as needed.

* Coordinate with payroll providers and benefit administrators.

Administrative Responsibilities

* Maintain confidentiality of sensitive employee and payroll information.

* Prepare HR reports and maintain employment documentation.

* Assist with audits, compliance reporting, and record retention.

* Support management with special projects and administrative initiatives.


Requirements

Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field preferred.

* Minimum of 3 years of experience in human resources and payroll administration.

* Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and HR best practices.

* Experience processing payroll and managing time and attendance systems.

* Strong organizational and time management skills.

* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

* High level of discretion and ability to maintain confidentiality.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR/payroll software.

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience in a law firm or professional services environment.

* HR certification (SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR) is a plus.

* Experience with payroll platforms such as ADP, Paychex, or similar systems.
