Job Title: Sales / Business Development Manager

Location: Remote / Hybrid

Candidates Must have experience selling to public sector, housing agencies, government agencies / Comissions, or enterprise software clients.

Client is a software development company specializing in technology solutions for housing authorities, government agencies, and enterprise clients. We provide system integration, software development, document management integration, and product-based solutions designed to improve operations and efficiency.

We are currently expanding our HAP product and related software solutions and are looking for a motivated Sales / Business Development Manager to help generate new opportunities, build client relationships, and support company growth.

Role Overview

The Sales / Business Development Manager will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, reaching out to potential clients, developing relationships, setting up meetings, and helping close new deals for our services and the HAP product.

This person should be comfortable speaking with executives, IT leaders, housing agency staff, and decision-makers. The ideal candidate will understand how to sell software, technology services, or consulting solutions in a professional B2B environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with affordable housing software providers, and related technology partners.

• Identify and develop new sales opportunities for BASC services and the HAP product.

• Research and contact housing authorities, government agencies, and related organizations.

• Build relationships with decision-makers, including executives, IT directors, program managers, and operations leaders.

• Schedule discovery calls, demos, and business meetings.

• Present BASC’s services, product value, and solution benefits to potential clients

• Maintain a sales pipeline and provide regular updates on leads, opportunities, and follow-ups.

• Work with the CEO and internal team to prepare proposals, pricing discussions, and client presentations.

• Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities when needed.

• Help develop sales strategies, messaging, and go-to-market plans.

• Follow up with prospects and help move opportunities from lead stage to signed agreement.

Required Qualifications.

• 10-15 years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or software/technology sales

• Experience selling B2B products, software, SaaS, IT services, consulting, or government solutions.

• Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

• Ability to understand client needs and explain technical solutions in a simple business-focused way.

• Comfortable with cold outreach, follow-ups, sales calls, and client meetings.

• Self-motivated and able to work independently.

• Organized and able to manage leads, pipeline, and follow-up activities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience selling to housing authorities, government agencies, municipalities, or public-sector organizations.

• Experience with software products, ERP systems, document management systems, workflow automation, or system integrations.

• Familiarity with Yardi, OnBase, housing programs, or public housing operations is a plus.

• Existing relationships in the housing authority or government technology space are highly preferred.
