Job description

Human Resources Assistant

Driftwood Hospitality Management's company culture empowers our associates to take initiative, be proactive, and contribute to the success of their property with well-defined strategies and objectives. Driftwood Hospitality Management is renowned for our fully integrated approach to hospitality services all with outstanding client service. Our team is made up of the best talent in the hospitality industry, down to every employee, position, and hotel.

We are seeking a dependable, positive, and service-oriented individual to join our Human Resources Department in an entry-level support role. This position is ideal for someone who is eager to learn takes direction well and consistently follows through on tasks. Passion for learning about Human Resources and grow within a luxury hospitality environment.

This is not a decision-making role. Instead, the HR Assistant will provide essential day-to-day support to the HR Director by handling administrative tasks, managing incoming requests, and helping maintain an organized and responsive HR office.

This is a part-time position. Schedule and hours will be discussed based on business needs. This position is offered at a fixed rate of $18.00 per hour.

Key Responsibilities

Daily HR Support

  • Assist with routine administrative tasks and general office organization
  • Respond to basic employee inquiries and direct questions appropriately
  • Help maintain employee files and ensure documents are properly organized
  • Support onboarding processes, including paperwork and scheduling

Operational Support

  • Handle day-to-day requests and tasks that support the flow of the HR office
  • Assist with tracking, follow-ups, and reminders to keep priorities on schedule
  • Take care of small but important tasks that ensure smooth daily operations

Employee Interaction

  • Provide a welcoming and helpful presence for employees
  • Deliver excellent service with a positive, can-do attitude
  • Maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information

Learning & Development

  • Learn HR processes, systems, and best practices through hands-on experience
  • Accept direction, feedback, and coaching from HR leadership
  • Demonstrate initiative, curiosity, and willingness to grow
