Job Description:
HomeGoods Distribution Center, Bloomfield, CT., is hiring!
Human Resources Assistant
  • Monday-Friday 10:00am-6:30pm
  • Salary Range- $19.05- $25.75

We are currently looking for a highly motivated HR Assistant to work in our Bloomfield Distribution Center. This team member will be part of a dynamic and fast-paced HR Department where our culture sets us apart. Staying true to our open, collaborative culture and values of integrity, caring, ethics and fairness is a top priority for us. As HomeGoods continues to grow, it leaves room for internal growth and development.
Responsibilities:
  • Daily review of Associate timekeeping and coding of hours
  • Modify and correct timecard as necessary and create payroll adjustments
  • Update and maintain the HRIS to include electronic personnel files, profiles, and personnel change status
  • Respond to associate inquiries regarding payroll and/or benefits
  • Oversee petty cash and the distribution of checks
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date new hire documents, files, records, and documentation
  • Handle the clerical/administration function within the HR department
  • Maintain a high degree of integrity and confidentiality
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • This is an onsite position

Requirements:
  • 1-2 years of high-volume customer service or office-related work experience
  • Demonstrated ability to perform mathematic functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience with Payroll in an HR Department preferred
  • Prior Kronos and Oracle experience a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to handle complex situations with professionalism
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in rapidly changing environment
  • Strong PC skills a must (MS Office - Word and Excel)
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
