Job description

Position Summary
  • Lead group sales strategies and initiatives to achieve or exceed revenue and market-share goals.
  • Manage, coach, and develop the Group Sales team while personally cultivating key accounts and markets.
  • Drive new business through sales calls, client entertainment, market travel, industry events, and sales missions.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Operations to maximize group revenue and profitability.

Salary and Benefits

  • Salary- 110,000-120,000
  • Health, Dental and Vision- 80.3% company paid; thereafter until 6%
  • STD and LTD, Accident, Hospital indemnity, pet insurance
  • 401K- Eligible after 1 year Company matches dollar for dollar for the first 3% and$.50
  • 12 Vacation and PTO Days during first year, increases every year after year 1
  • 20% discount on food and beverage, 30% on retail
  • $70 cell phone reimbursement
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop group sales plans, market strategies, budgets, and revenue goals.
  • Manage key accounts and group market segments while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Lead daily sales activities, goal setting, performance reviews, and team development.
  • Analyze forecasts, competitive data, market trends, and revenue performance to adjust sales strategies.
  • Conduct client visits, sales blitzes, FAM trips, industry events, and market missions.
  • Oversee sales reporting, CRM activity, forecasting, and administrative standards.
  • Recruit, train, motivate, and retain high-performing sales professionals.
  • Maintain strong client, community, and industry relationships.
  • Represent the resort professionally while ensuring exceptional guest and client service.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of progressive hotel/resort group sales experience.
  • Proven success generating group revenue in a high-volume environment.
  • Strong leadership, sales, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience managing and developing a sales team.
  • Strong understanding of group sales, revenue management, forecasting, and market strategy.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Business, Sales, or related field preferred.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible schedules as required.
