Description
Position Summary:
The Cabling Associate is an entry-level role that supports the installation and implementation of video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, paging, and other related solutions. Working under the direction of the Foreman, Project Manager, and other team members, this role assists with field execution while developing foundational technical skills. The Cabling Associate is expected to follow quality standards, work safely, and contribute to a positive customer experience.
Roles and Responsibilities/ Essential Functions:
  • Assist with the installation of video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, and related low-voltage systems.
  • Support senior team members with pulling cable, device mounting, labeling, terminations, and general field tasks.
  • Follow project documentation, installation standards, and direction from field leadership.
  • Learn basic installation methods, system components, and field best practices.
  • Communicate professionally with team members, customers, and other onsite trades.
  • Support quality control efforts by identifying and correcting obvious installation issues when directed.
  • Daily, accurate tracking of time, materials, and other required project information.
  • Use tools, equipment, and materials safely and appropriately.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment on customer sites.
  • Represent the organization professionally and contribute to a positive customer experience.
