Job description

Support Sentry's claims team by reviewing, negotiating, and resolving Medicare, Medicaid, and secondary payer liens for bodily injury and workers' compensation claims.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the primary point of contact for lienholders, validating conditional payment notices against medical records, identifying unrelated charges, and maintaining accurate system data and ICD codes.
  • Proactively negotiate Medicare, Medicaid, and MAP liens, disputing inaccurate charges and presenting evidence to secure compromise offers that minimize settlement impact.
  • Partner with claim representatives to integrate lien resolution into the overall case strategy, resolving complex issues and escalating to internal or external resources when necessary.
  • Ensure all resolutions strictly adhere to the Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) statute and relevant laws, following established "Safe Harbor" protocols for unvalidated obligations.
  • Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready files by drafting necessary correspondence, providing updated injury documentation, and reporting on savings outcomes and operational activities.
