The RBC Dominion Securities branch located in Burlington is seeking an Associate Advisor to join a successful Advisory Team. You will deepen client relationships by offering sound advice and support to clients and to the Investment Advisor. Identifying and assisting growth of new business opportunities will also be key.

What will you do?

  • Coordinate meetings and events for the Investment Advisor with clients and prospects: help determine agenda and key topics, prepare documentation, execute post-meeting work. Attend client meetings when required.

  • Provide proactive client service with a problem-resolution focus and attention to details. Liaise with various departments for execution, where necessary.

  • Respond to client account inquiries and remain accountable to follow-up, as required.

  • Help build and execute business plans, client segmentation, and client service plans.

  • Identify and execute opportunities among existing client base for asset consolidation, referrals, etc.

  • Co-manage client acquisition pipeline (prospects / leads); work with advisory team to close new opportunities.

  • Deepen existing relationships with Centers of Influence (COIs) through ongoing management.

  • Trading and / or Portfolio Rebalancing

What do you need to succeed?

Must Have

  • Approval as a Registered Representative (RR) with IIROC

  • Successful completion of the Wealth Management Essentials (WME) course or Investment Management Techniques (IMT)

  • University degree

  • A self-directed individual with a growth and goals-oriented mindset

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Strong Microsoft Office skills

Nice to Have

  • 4 years or more of professional experience within investment industry

  • Meticulous attention to detail and strong problem solving and analytical skills

  • Highly-developed client service skills

Compensation for this position (including salary and discretionary/variable payments) will be determined by factors, including but not limited to candidate's experience, skills, registration status, performance, individual goals, market conditions, and business needs.

Pay Range

The expected pay range for this position is:

$38,000.00- $60,000.00

This position includes competitive-based pay, and the overall earning potential is impacted by a variable incentive structure, earning a multiple of salary up to:

1.5x
