This role is perfect for a passionate professional with 3-5 years of experience in major gifts, individual donor programs, and corporate partnerships. You'll work closely with our Executive Director (ED) and executive team members to develop and implement strategies to engage and grow our donor base. This position offers an exciting opportunity for professional advancement and contribution to the growth and sustainability of a mission driven organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead in the development and execution of a comprehensive fundraising strategy, including annual giving, major gifts, corporate partnerships, and special events.
  • Lead development and implementation of fundraising strategies and campaigns.
  • Manage donor databases and ensure accurate record-keeping, robust management and tracking of cultivation and stewardship strategies with prospects, donors, and partners.
  • Administer gift processing systems, including prompt entry of pledges, gifts received, tracking donor correspondence, and generating gift acknowledgment letters.
  • Work with the ED to cultivate and maintain relationships with potential and current donors.  Help the ED prepare for meetings with donors, and fill in for the ED in some donor meetings.
  • Lead the planning and implementation of fundraising events and activities.
  • Collaboratively review philanthropic, as well as local and federal government funding opportunities to determine organizational interest and application strategy.
  • Develop annual fundraising plan and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Collaborate with team members to support the creation of unique and compelling funding opportunities, cases for support, and proposals in alignment with funder priorities and P4DC initiatives.
  • Assist in preparation of grant proposals and reports.
  • Conduct research on potential funding sources and opportunities.
  • In collaboration with Communications and other peers, develop and manage consistent messaging to donors and prospects that align with solicitation and donor-specific stewardship communications and other compelling fundraising materials.
  • Prepare regular reports highlighting fundraising progress, trends and recommendations for improvement.
  • Analyze campaign performance and donor data.
  • Provide administrative support as it relates to development.
  • Create donor recognition programs.
  • Ensure donors are informed about the impact of their contributions.
  • Support special projects as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, Masters preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in nonprofit development or fundraising. Local and national nonprofit experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Experience working collaboratively with senior/executive level staff and Board engagement.

  • Proficiency in donor CRM (i.e. Givebutter) and Google Business Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Benefits:
  • Competitive salary and benefits package (transportation reimbursement, professional development budget, vision insurance).
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
  • The chance to make a meaningful impact in the community.
