Job description

Summary of Position

The primary focus of this position is to manage and support multiple guild residual audits, claims, and related compliance matters throughout various stages of completion. Responsibilities include interpreting collective bargaining agreements and talent contracts, analyzing audit assertions, developing audit response strategies, preparing financial reconciliations and residual estimates, and supporting quarterly residual and participation reporting.

The Senior Financial Analyst will partner closely with Legal, Business Affairs, Accounting, Payroll, Production Finance, and external auditors to investigate issues, resolve complex residual matters, and ensure compliance with guild agreements and contract obligations. The ideal candidate possesses strong analytical and communication skills, exercises sound judgment, and can independently manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities
  • Preparation of all guild audit responses by analyzing audit claims and reviewing contracts, correspondence, statements, accounting records, and other pertinent documents
  • Perform reconciliations on various transactions and analyze any discrepancies
  • Interpret guild agreements with the support of the reporting Supervisor
  • Assess quarterly receipts of various product types for guild reporting
  • Participate in testing and implementation of new systems related to process improvements, efficiency, and standardization
  • Prepare participation statements as needed
  • Contribute to ad-hoc projects, as assigned
Qualifications and Skills
  • 3+ years overall experience
  • BA/BS degree in Finance or Accounting
  • Strong analytical and organization skills with the ability to multi-task and meet strict contractual deadlines
  • Exceptional communication skills with an effortless ability to interact at all levels of the organization and external parties
  • Ability to work pro-actively and autonomously in the audit role, but also as a team player within the participations & residuals group
  • Intermediate to advance level of Microsoft Excel
Additional Requirements

This position requires five (5) days per week in office.ย
