ARCO/Murray is currently looking for a Solar Project Manager to join our Power Solutions team based in Downers Grove, Illinois. The Solar Project Manager will be responsible for sales, project execution, and overall performance of alternative energy projects with a key focus on delivery of Solar projects.

A DAY IN THE LIFE
  • Play a key role as part of the Power Solutions team delivering turnkey power solutions to our clients
  • Lead and coordinate all managerial and administrative aspects of project from the earliest stages of preconstruction through project closeout
  • Actively design Solar solutions using innovative in-house tools in support of our design/build sales process
  • Review available incentives through in-house research and external partnerships
  • Articulate system long-term financial performance in support of the sales effort of Solar projects
  • Oversee equipment selection, buyout process, and logistics for full project scope
  • Advise on the Solar readiness of existing facilities and guide construction teams in achieving Solar readiness for new construction projects
  • Interface with clients, contractors, and vendors on technical issues to provide key guidance on the implementation of solar solutions
  • Work with Project Superintendent and Foreman to develop and review project schedule and site logistics
  • Track and manage project performance vs budget; prepare owner pay applications, cost status, and progress billing reports
  • Participate in budgeting, scheduling, and staff management
  • Work as an integral part of team procuring solar panels, inverters, and other associated power components from our supplier and distributor networks
  • Utilize and expand our national and international network of equipment suppliers
  • Assist in business development activities by finding solutions to complex projects as part of a client-facing, multi-disciplined team
  • Assist in the development of Solar, CHP, Micro-grid solutions as part of master power planning for clients
  • Act in a manner of integrity that shows support for the company, its values, and the employees, while maintaining constant focus on meeting/exceeding customer requirements and expectations

NECESSARY QUALIFICATIONS
  • BS in Engineering or related field
  • 2-5 years project management or engineering design experience
  • Preferred past experience delivering alternative energy solutions is a plus
  • BIM experience (Revit and AutoCAD) is a plus
  • Experience creating design spreadsheets or coding scripts is a plus
  • Able to organize, plan and manage multiple activities to accomplish desired results
