At Mariah's Family Care Home, we work with people with mental and behavioral disabilities wherever they are in their personal journey, and work to develop personalized support plans that encourage independence, with the support of our dedicated staff.


The Residential Manager is responsible for overseeing activities, funds, and schedules for
two home locations; and ensuring all residents are properly managed and cared for. The
Residential Manager is a Full-Time position and must be able to work a flexible full time
schedule, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and any other day when emergencies
or staff call-offs occur that would require he/she to work.


Essential Job Functions:
Supervision/Training
Maintaining a positive work environment which lends itself to teamwork,
effective communication, and excellence in job performance
Provide regular, consistent supervision to all assigned staff, complete
performance evaluations and development plans, and any coaching resulting from
disciplinary action
Supervise all staff to ensure all job duties are being completed; including 3rd Shift
Checks
Supervise staff training and development through teaching, acting as a role model,
and guiding staff on how to appropriately work with and interact with residents,
other staff, families and guardians
Present and implement all company policies and procedures
Takes employee call offs, and relays the information to Program Director
Fills open shifts, call offs, and vacation/personal time requests

Meetings/Functions
Attend, as needed, manager, supervisory, and staff meetings; ensure disseminate
of all information to staff and others
Attend, as needed, all job related trainings or seminars; ensure all necessary
follow-up is completed
New employee house orientation
ISP/BSP reviews and/or medication reviews
Special Events for our residents

Administrative Duties
Responsible for turning in completed, accurate documentation; which includes all
weekly and monthly paperwork, employee forms, resident forms/reports, Incident
reports, and other forms as required
Oversee resident's schedules and weekly appointments
Maintain required records
Resident profiles and Medical histories
Vehicle and House maintenance checklists
Writing/Updating ISP/BSP
Creating activity schedules and recreational activities for clients
Manage and track supply and food inventory
Scheduling of staff


Finance
Manage, track and document Activity funds, resident petty cash
Gas and vehicle maintenance
Shopping for supplies and food
Responsible for exhausting all efforts in order to minimize overtime, this includes
shift coverage, proficient problem solving, and planning ahead


Maintenance
Oversee maintenance of the physical homes and vehicles top include, cleanliness,
décor, safety issues, emergency situations; practice preventative maintenance;
ensure compliance with OSHA standards
Oversee monthly house checks to address any maintenance issues
Perform semi-annual fire drills

Working Conditions
May be exposed to infectious disease and/or physical/verbal aggression from
residents
The behavior of residents may change dramatically without obvious cause, which
may create, at times, hazardous situation
Majority of work will be in a home environment
May be exposed to stressful situations
Some auto travel, as needed

Other Job Functions:

Ensuring quality services are provided to the residents
Responsible for handling all emergencies that may arise in the home
The Residential Manager will assure frequent and adequate communication with
the Program Director and Licensee, relaying all pertinent information
Maintaining open communication between all involved team members
Must be able to accept other duties as assigned

Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


Must be able to carry out ALL duties that are required by Direct Care Staff; all
management positions involve hands-on work that requires you to assist with all
areas, including personal hygiene, medication administration, daily household
chores, and support in the community
Knowledge of crisis intervention techniques
Knowledge of laws and regulations governing the operations of group homes for
developmentally disabled individuals
Ability to oversee the operations of assigned personnel
Ability to follow and enforce personnel policies and rules of the organization
Ability to maintain both client and company confidentiality; including, but not
limited to, client records, staff records, client experiences, and agency information
Ability to respond to emergency situations 24 hours a day

Minimum Qualifications:


Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
3-5 years experience working in a residential setting
1-2 years management experience
Valid Driver's License
21 years or older
Must possess a reliable vehicle, in safe/operable condition with current
registration and insurance
