Job description

Residential Aide

Harbour House Inc. provides-short term crisis stabilization services in a therapeutic residential setting for people in need and we are currently looking for Residential Aides.  Locations in Millersville, Annapolis and Edgewater.  

General Description of Duties and Responsibilities:

A Residential Aides’ primary role is to provide the appropriate supports tailored to the needs and goals of our resident’s individual treatment plan. Additionally, Residential Aides are responsible for assisting and maintaining a safe, supportive, and therapeutic environment, which fosters growth to ensure residents make a smooth transition back to their communities once they are discharged from our facility.

Specific Duties:

· Monitor and supervise of all residents in the facility.

· Assist residents with basic care, therapeutic and leisure needs.

· In a timely fashion, report and record the emotional state of residents.

Accurately monitor, count and log all medications at medication time.

· Perform daily record keeping (i.e. contact notes, daily logs, etc.) and exchange information with next shift and/or with clinical staff.

· Provide leisure/recreational activities of individual(s) choice that coincide with their treatment plan.

· Attend mandatory trainings

· Provide crisis intervention as directed and required.

· Maintains open, effective and appropriate communication with residents, staff and our outside partners.

Experience working in a mental health setting

Superior interpersonal and communication skills

Flexibility

Clean and valid driver’s license

CPR and first aid certificates are a plus
