Resident Services Aide
DEPARTMENT: Dietary
POSITION: Resident Services Aide
SUPERVISION: Director of Dining Service, RSA Coordinator
HOURLY RATE:
Full-Time: $16.50 Per Hour, Shift 7a-3p
Duties:
Receives and follows oral or written work assignment from supervisor on a daily and monthly schedule.
Cleans kitchen, dining room, living room, and food storage areas on a daily, weekly, and monthly schedule as assigned in the manner stated in the procedures, so that a high level of cleanliness is maintained.
Reads chemical names, distinguishes appropriate chemical for task, follows dilution ratio, and handles chemicals in safe manner to protect self, residents and fellow staff members.
Cooks breakfasts to order per resident requests.
Lifts objects, including water, mop buckets and household garbage bags and linen, laundry bags, weighing up to 50 lbs.-remove trash after each meal service on assigned shift to dumpster receptacles.
Completes meal prep as directed including menus for breakfast and lunch, proper heating of food items, ability to serve proper consistency, cleaning tables, washing dishes after meals as directed, clean stove, microwave, and dish machine.
Takes and maintains temperatures of all meals per policy standards.
Takes and maintains temperature for dishwasher as directed daily.
Notifies RSA Coordinator of any issues identified as needing attention including missing daily food items or stock, broken, malfunctioning equipment, carpet deep cleaning, etc.
Buddies up with coordinating house per schedule and/or supervisor request.
Follows safety practices including, but not limited to: floor signage, locked closets and properly stored chemicals.
Completes and demonstrates skills validation:
• Choking
• Dysphagia/Thickening Liquids
• Diet Consistency
Completes Kitchen Equipment List monthly.
Assist with house stock count as requested.
Assures all containers are properly labeled and dated in accordance with dietary standards.
Set-up meal preparations and tables for evening shift meals.
Performs duties according to highest ethical and moral standards and in adherence with the facility's corporate compliance plan and all applicable governing laws.
Adheres to the facility's confidentiality statement in accessing and safeguarding protected health information (PHI) of residents and employees, as necessary to perform job duties.
Ability to read and write differentiating names, household chemicals, diet consistencies and other relevant words and phrases related to household tasks. Also, must be capable of completing an English Comprehension Screening.
Ability to follow oral and written directions.
Ability to cooperate with other staff members.
Ability to use equipment as required for the job.
Ability to organize daily work task and complete in a timely manner.
Ability to work independently.
