Job description

Citizens Memorial Hospital (CMH) is hiring an Admissions & Marketing Coordinator to work with our Long-Term Care Admissions Department in Bolivar, Missouri — someone who leads with skill, compassion, and a drive to positively impact every patient and family we serve. 

Position Details 

  • Status: Full-Time
  • Work Shift: Days
  • Hours:8am-5pm

What Your Day Looks Like: The Long-Term Care Admissions Department coordinates admissions, managed care processes, and marketing efforts to ensure appropriate resident placement, regulatory compliance, exceptional customer service, and sustained census growth. 

As an Admissions & Marketing Coordinator, you will be:  

  • Coordinating all skilled nursing and long-term care referrals from initial inquiry through admission. 
  • Performing screening and review of referrals for admission appropriateness.
  • Reviewing medical records to determine Medicare and Managed Care medical necessity.
  • Obtaining prior authorizations, insurance certifications, and continued stay approvals. 
  • Developing and maintaining referral relationships through regular marketing visits and representing the organization at community events, health fairs, and professional meetings.
  • Ensuring all admission documentation is complete and regulatory requirements are met. 

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Business, Nursing, Marketing or related field preferred.

Skills and Experience: 1-3 years of experience in a similar role preferred; excellent communication, leadership, organization, problem-solving, presentation, customer service, and computer skills, and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work independently

Licensure/Certification: N/A

Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting, standing, walking, lifting as required, and travel to referral sources
