Assistant Principal Parkview Elementary School

Westville School District
Parkview Elementary School
12-Month Position

The Westville School District is seeking a dedicated, student-centered educational leader to serve as Assistant Principal at Parkview Elementary School. The successful candidate will support the principal in the daily operation of the school, promote a positive and safe school climate, and provide instructional leadership to staff in support of student achievement.

The Assistant Principal will work collaboratively with administration, faculty, staff, students, families, and the community to support high-quality instruction, effective student interventions, positive behavior supports, and the overall success of all learners.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess:

  • New Jersey Principal Certification or appropriate administrative certification
  • Master's degree required
  • Experience with elementary education preferred
  • Knowledge of curriculum, instruction, assessment, intervention systems, and student supports
  • Experience using data to inform instructional and school-level decisions
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to a positive school culture and high expectations for all students
  • Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status

Primary Responsibilities

The Assistant Principal will assist the Principal with:

  • Daily school operations and building supervision
  • Instructional leadership and support for teachers
  • Student discipline, attendance, counseling, and due process procedures
  • Implementation of academic and behavioral interventions
  • Use of student data to support achievement and school improvement goals
  • Parent communication, student meetings, and community relations
  • Staff supervision, professional development, and school climate initiatives
  • School safety procedures, emergency planning, and student welfare
  • Additional duties as assigned by the Principal and/or Superintendent

Salary:  $101,000-$110,000 commensurate with experience and in accordance with district guidelines.
