Familiarity with care management software, compliance systems, and safeguarding protocols is essential. Excellent communication, empathy, and problem-solving skills help you lead teams and support residents effectively. These competencies are crucial to ensure high standards of care, regulatory compliance, and a positive living environment for residents.

What is a resident home?

Resident Home jobs typically refer to positions within residential care facilities, such as nursing homes, assisted living, or group homes. Employees in these settings help with personal care, medication management, activities, meal preparation, and ensuring a safe environment. Working in a resident home requires compassion, patience, and a commitment to improving quality of life for individuals who need assistance.

Job description

Location: Agape Home
Employment Status: Full-Time and Part-Time Positions
Available Shifts: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift
Uniforms: Provided by DaySpring Services

Company Overview

DaySpring, Inc. is a Christian, faith-based organization governed by Biblical principles. These principles are defined and clarified through our Statement of Faith and serve as the foundation for how we operate our organization, care for residents, and fulfill our mission:

“Serving Older Adults with God’s Love.”

DaySpring desires to be a community of diverse team members who share a common bond as members of the Body of Christ. Employees are expected to perform their responsibilities in alignment with DaySpring’s Statement of Faith and in accordance with the duties and expectations outlined in this job description.

Position Description:

A Resident Life Partner is more than a caregiver. This person partners with our residents in everyday life—helping them maintain their dignity and independence while creating an environment where they feel known, valued, safe, loved, and at home.

The work includes personal care, medications, meals, housekeeping, activities, and responding to residents' needs—but the heart behind how those things are done matters just as much as the task itself. Our RLPs have the opportunity to bring joy, companionship, encouragement, and God's tender mercy into the ordinary moments of a resident's day.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone who:

  • Loves God and loves His people.
  • Has a genuine heart for serving older adults, including those experiencing memory loss.
  • Sees the person before the task and treats every resident with dignity and respect.
  • Is warm, engaging, patient, compassionate, and able to have fun.
  • Takes initiative and notices what needs to be done without always being asked.
  • Is willing to serve wherever needed—personal care, activities, meals, laundry, housekeeping, or simply spending time with a resident.
  • Is dependable and accountable because residents and teammates are counting on them.
  • Remains calm, kind, and patient during difficult or challenging moments.
  • Works as a partner with the entire team, rather than focusing only on their own responsibilities.
  • Understands that this isn't just about completing a shift—it's about helping create a home where residents can experience purpose, belonging, joy, and the love of Christ.

Bottom line: We can teach someone our processes and procedures. We're searching for people who already bring the heart, character, compassion, energy, and servant mindset that make exceptional care possible.
