Woodridge Assisted Living Facility is seeking a dedicated Resident Transporter to ensure residents are transported safely to medical appointments, community activities, and other outings at Woodridge Assisted Living Facility.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Safe Transportation: Safely transport residents to and from scheduled medical appointments, social outings, and other activities as directed.
  • Resident Assistance: Provide assistance to residents during boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring their safety and comfort at all times.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure company vehicles are clean, fueled, and properly maintained. Report any issues or concerns to management.
  • Schedule Coordination: Work closely with staff and residents to ensure timely transportation scheduling and efficient route planning.
  • Compliance & Safety: Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and facility protocols to ensure a secure and positive travel experience for residents.
  • Communication & Documentation: Maintain accurate transportation logs and report any incidents or concerns to the appropriate staff.
  • Customer Service: Engage with residents in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive and reassuring experience during transportation.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (required)
  • Previous experience in a transportation, healthcare, or customer service role (preferred)
  • Ability to safely operate a passenger transport vehicle (training provided if necessary)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Compassion for and a desire to work with the elderly
  • Ability to assist residents with mobility needs, including wheelchairs and walkers
