The resident assistant is a member of the Assisted Living team who, under the guidance and supervision of Named Supervisor, provides personal care and assistance to residents in their home environment. Under periodic but regular supervision of Named Supervisor, the resident assistant performs observations designed to assist in the gathering of data relevant to the residents' needs and performs care for the residents as indicated, utilizing equipment or supportive therapy as ordered.


The resident assistant provides basic personal care,including bath and hygiene care, meal assistance, resident transfers andassistance with ambulation and range of motion. The resident assistant will assist with Housekeeping duties, such aslaundry, cleaning of residents room and common areas, vacuuming. They also willhelp with preparing the dining rooms for meals, cleaning after meals, andserving meals to the residents, and daily Activities. The resident assistant isresponsible for communicating with the NamedSupervisor, resident and family as indicated.  Documentation is completed per protocol.  The resident assistant is responsible forcomplying with policies regarding health and safety in the home environment.
