Hybrid Breakfast Host & Front Desk Associate

Position Overview

We have a unique position available for a Social Host & Front Desk Associate! The Social host is needed Monday-Wednesday 3:30PM-8:30PM with extra shifts available as a Front Desk Associate. This hybrid position is responsible for delivering exceptional guest service through both breakfast operations and front desk support. This role oversees the setup, presentation, cleanliness, and inventory of the breakfast area while also assisting guests with check-in, reservations, payments, and general hotel inquiries. The ideal candidate is organized, customer-focused, and able to multitask in a fast-paced hospitality environment while maintaining brand standards and guest satisfaction.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Breakfast & Food Service Responsibilities

  • Prepare, set up, maintain, and break down the breakfast area daily

  • Monitor food quality, presentation, freshness, and cleanliness throughout service

  • Maintain proper food inventory levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and local Board of Health regulations

  • Ensure compliance with brand standards and quality assurance expectations

  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently

  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of all food service areas

  • Assist in controlling food costs and minimizing waste

  • Address guest concerns and ensure a positive dining experience

Front Desk & Guest Service Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests with a professional and friendly demeanor

  • Check guests in and out efficiently while verifying reservations and payment methods

  • Assign rooms, issue room keys, and provide hotel information

  • Answer phone calls and respond to guest questions and requests promptly

  • Assist guests with reservations, directions, local recommendations, and concierge-style services

  • Maintain accurate guest records and process payments

  • Handle guest messages, packages, lost and found items, and special requests

  • Resolve guest concerns professionally and escalate issues when necessary

  • Support overall hotel operations and assist other departments as needed

Qualifications

  • Previous hospitality, food service, hotel, or customer service experience preferred

  • Prior culinary or breakfast service experience strongly preferred

  • ServSafe Certification preferred

  • Strong communication and customer service skills

  • Ability to multitask and work independently in a fast-paced environment

  • Professional appearance and positive attitude

  • Basic computer and phone skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for extended periods of time

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted

  • Ability to work in kitchen and front desk environments

  • Exposure to cleaning chemicals and kitchen equipment

Additional Expectations
