Job description

We are seeking a smart, organized Assistant Commercial Property Manager to join our flagship Reseda location and work directly with senior management across approximately 10 properties.

We are a private owner/operator of industrial and commercial properties with a 50-year reputation for integrity and disciplined ownership. Our 1M+ square-foot portfolio spans Burbank, Reseda, Valencia, Oxnard, and Reno and is run with a modern, data-driven, AI-forward approach.

The Role

You will assist with day-to-day operations for your assigned properties, blending hands-on property work with the systems and analytics that keep a modern portfolio running. Core responsibilities include:

  • Tenant and vendor communication across phone, email, and digital channels - including after-hours emergencies
  • Work order management end-to-end in Yardi: creation, vendor coordination, site walk-throughs, and close-out
  • Property inspections and follow-up
  • Lease administration, document organization, and tenant data compliance (insurance tracking, TI coordination)
  • Move-in, move-out, and vacated-suite inspection support
  • Collections support under the Accounting Manager's direction: 3-Day Notices, late charges, ledger reconciliation, and eviction-filing assistance
  • Drafting tenant memos, lease violations, and Notice of Non-Responsibility forms
  • Coordination between field operations and the Calabasas office team

You will primarily work from our Reseda property while regularly collaborating with Sr. Property Manager and our Calabasas office team. The role also involves supporting properties throughout the. San Fernando Valley, Ventura County, and a supervised remote property in Reno.

Where You'll Grow

As you build your track record, you'll take on broader scope - sourcing and managing capital projects, owning vendor strategy across the portfolio, and running the collections process end-to-end.

Who We're Looking For

We're looking for someone intelligent, curious, adaptable, and eager to learn. Ideal candidates will have:

  • 2-5 years of experience in commercial property management, facilities, construction administration, leasing, or a related field.  This qualification flexible based on nature of prior job experience and most significantly, an orientation toward leveraging technology tools to enhance your personal productivity.
  • Proficiency with Yardi (preferred) and MS Office; comfort adopting new AI and technology tools as the platform evolves
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
  • Excellent interpersonal communication - you'll be the daily face of the portfolio to tenants and vendors
  • Good judgment, follow-through, and a strong service mindset
  • Genuine enthusiasm for using AI to work smarter, automate routine tasks, and improve productivity
  • Valid California driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable personal transportation (role involves regular travel between properties)
  • California real estate salesperson license a plus
  • Ability to walk properties and conduct site inspections, including climbing stairs and accessing roofs and mechanical areas as needed
