Job description

R&D Assistant Chef supports the development, testing, production, and presentation of innovative dessert concepts. This role collaborates closely with senior culinary leadership to execute product development projects, assist with recipe formulation and optimization, maintain quality standards, and contribute to the successful launch of new menu items and seasonal offerings.
Responsibilities
  • Ability to read and execute recipes up to quality standards with a basic knowledge of baking and food styling.
  • Assist with presenting product developments in daily Dessert Review meetings for executive approval or redirection.
  • Ensure quality issues are effectively addressed and resolved within Crumbls recipes and content.
  • Adhere to established specifications, procedures, and policies in conducting product company-wide.
  • Ability to pivot and take constructive criticism.
  • Assists the Food Styling team as needed.
  • Ability to understand recipe development, detect and communicate discrepancies prior to production.
  • Ensure food safety of all equipment and procedures.
  • Demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to pivot when necessary, responding to changing priorities or circumstances.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally. Must maintain a valid passport and all necessary travel documentation.

  • Experience mixing, balling and dressing in a Crumbl setting
  • Experienced in food safety and handling
