Operations Specialist
Location: Dallas, TX
Pay Rate: $ 22.00/hour
Schedule: Full-Time | Hybrid
Assignment Length: 6 Months with potential for contract-to-hire
LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an Operations Specialist for a leading financial services organization in Dallas, TX. This opportunity is ideal for candidates with experience in operations, reconciliation, transaction processing, accounting support, or financial services who enjoy problem-solving, investigating discrepancies, and working with data in a fast-paced environment.
The Operations Specialist will support critical transaction management activities, conduct research on transactional exceptions, and help ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and processes.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review, reconcile, and validate transaction data according to established procedures and guidelines.
  • Research and resolve transaction discrepancies and account balancing issues.
  • Investigate financial activity to identify root causes of exceptions and support resolution efforts.
  • Process operational requests involving account transactions, settlements, and transfers.
  • Communicate with internal and external business partners regarding transaction inquiries and exception items.
  • Track and manage workload through various systems, reports, and worklists.
  • Utilize Excel to analyze data, identify trends, and support operational reporting.
  • Escalate complex issues when necessary while maintaining high levels of accuracy and service quality.
  • Adhere to operational controls, policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in reconciliation, transaction processing, operations support, accounting, banking, or a related field.
  • Experience researching and resolving numerical discrepancies.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet productivity goals in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills, including filters, formulas, and pivot tables.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of financial products such as mutual funds, money markets, retirement accounts, or investment products.
  • Experience using Microsoft Outlook for daily communication and workflow management.
  • Educational or professional background in finance, accounting, business, or operations.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.
Work Environment
  • Hybrid work schedule.
  • Training period requires 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week.
  • Following training, schedule transitions to 3 days onsite and 2 days remote per week.
  • Full-time hours.
