Job description

Summary

Zepto Life Technology is actively seeking a motivated Research Lab Technician to play a key role in conducting precise laboratory experiments, managing research data, and providing essential support for clinical trials and research services. This part-time, per-diem position involves hands-on experience in operating device testing and collaborative work with the Assay Development Team, CRO, and the CLIA Lab Team, specifically in testing virology, fungology, mycology, and bacteriology specimens. The ideal candidate will have basic lab experience and an eagerness to learn about clinical research methodologies while having the opportunity to immerse themselves in the biotechnology industry and contribute significantly to the company's growth and success.


Note: This is a part-time, per diem, temporary position with work assigned as needed. The role is expected to last through July 2026, with the possibility of an extension. Pay range is between $18.00/hour - $20.00/hour.


Responsibilities

  • Operate laboratory devices as stated in the Instructions for Use (IFU).
  • Execute laboratory experiments and procedures in strict adherence to established protocols.
  • Complete studies per assigned protocols and record, store, and organize data as directed by scientists.
  • Ensure the optimal functioning and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
  • Assist in the preparation of study protocols, case report forms, and other study documents.
  • Participate in clinical trials, including patient screening, enrollment, and monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and study protocols.
  • Communicate research findings and progress to the team and study sponsors.
  • Collaborate with team members, participate in project planning, and engage in other research-related activities to ensure project success.
  • Provide general administrative support, including photocopying, filing, maintaining office supplies, and handling routine tasks, to ensure efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Support Service Unit (CRO & CLIA) and Assay Development operations as determined by the supervisor.

  • Associate's degree in a relevant field with equivalent laboratory experience
  • Basic laboratory experience
  • Strong organizational skills for data collection, storage, and analysis.
  • Ability to effectively communicate research findings and collaborate with team members.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new laboratory techniques and technologies.

Job Type

  • Per Diem / Temporary: Work is assigned based on project needs, and hours may vary weekly. Position may be extended depending on project demands.
  • Non-Exempt: Monday-Friday, onsite.
  • Schedule: Primarily daytime hours between 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM, with occasional Saturdays as needed.

The employee may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position requires the ability to lift products and supplies, up to 50 pounds occasionally.
