Job Summary

Animal Care Attendant - No Experience needed – On site Training

Have you always dreamed of working with animals in a company that participates in drug research to save lives? Good news! We are currently looking for a full-time Animal Care Attendant for our Senneville (QC) site. You don't need any previous experience because we have an exceptional training team who will teach you everything!


As an Animal Care Attendant for our Toxicology team at the Senneville (QC) site, you will be responsible for ensuring the welfare of the animals and the integrity of our pre-clinical studies.

In this role, primary responsibilities include:

  • Ensure the cleanliness of the living environment of the animals according to the highest standards of welfare in the industry.
  • Assist the technicians in their daily tasks.
  • Handle animals.
  • Participate in the physical/social activities of the animals.

If you have the following qualifications, we'll train you for the rest: 

  • High school diploma (DES), or completion of Secondary III with at least three (3) years of relevant work experience, or any equivalent combination of education and experience;
  • AEP in Animal Care is an asset;
  • Physically able to work (lift up to 20kg, walk, stand, squat, etc.);
  • Able to follow strict and precise instructions/procedures;
  • Team player with a collaborative and positive attitude;
  • Open-minded and eager to learn in a lab environment.

Please note that upon being hired, you will have to undergo an annual tuberculosis test at the expense of the company. 


Role Specific Information:

  • Location: 22022 route Transcanadienne, Senneville, QC, H9X 1C1; 
  • Transportation: We offer a free shuttle service from the Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue train station, John Abbott College and from the REM station of l’Anse à l’Orme to the Senneville site. Free parking. Electric vehicle charging station.
  • Salary: $19.25 per hour with primes of :
    • Evenings: $2.50;
    • Weekend: $2.75;
    • Overtime: Time and a half;
    • Holidays: Double time;
  • Annual bonus based on performance;
  • Schedule: Mostly days, weekend rotations and holidays with overtime on evening and night when needed; 
  • Permanent position, full-time 37.5hrs per week.
