The Opportunity
MassMutual Investments is a diversified multi-manager investment platform focused on the variable product and wealth management channels. We leverage an open architecture framework to develop innovative solutions to solve the most pressing investment needs faced by our clients. We are seeking a Manager Research Associate to support our investment research efforts.
The Team
The MassMutual Investments team manages $25 billion across 50+ portfolios, spanning equities, fixed income and multi-asset solutions. The team curates partnerships with many of the world's leading asset managers who sub advise our investment strategies including Barings. We are seeking highly motivated individuals to help drive our dynamic and collaborative effort.
The Impact:
The Manager Research Associate will support our efforts to identify leading investment managers to help us deliver innovative solutions to our clients. The location of this hybrid role is Boston or Springfield and some travel among offices is expected.
  • Assist senior members of the Manager Research team in performing research on equity, fixed income and multi-asset funds to identify trends and opportunities
  • Generate detailed investment reports and presentations for investment team and management
  • Assist in the development of investment strategies and recommendations
  • Collaborate with the Manager Research team and Multi-Asset Class Solutions team to support investment decisions
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of investments
  • Provide insights based on data analysis

The Minimum Qualifications
  • 2+ years in investment research or a similar role
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • Due to the nature of this position, as a part of our background check process, candidates must be able to pass a non-registered fingerprint background check to qualify as a fingerprinted person under FINRA.

The Ideal Qualifications
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Proficiency in financial modeling and valuation
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
