The successful candidate for this position will have a strong passion and understanding of program management, product management, development of roadmaps and optimizing resources supporting DoD customers. As a valued contributor to our team your responsibilities will include (1) managing program budgets, tracking expenditures and forecasting financial needs;  (2) orchestrating stakeholder engagement, presenting project progress, technical challenges, and milestone achievements to leadership and key customers; (3) establishing portfolio-level product operations and governance, including standardized roadmaps, dashboards, and release schedule, (4) encouraging team collaboration to identify creative solutions for complex engineering challenges; (5) review and approve streamlined development and engineering workflows by integrating project management tool (Jira), enhancing team transparency and accountability.

Deputy Technical Director, Edge Solutions Position Requirements:

  • Current TS/SCI clearance
  • BS in Business, Strategic Leadership, or a closely related field along with 12-15 years of relevant work experience OR MS degree with 10-13 years of experience 
  • Experience with converting high-level operational requirements into detailed technical solutions for scalable and secure systems
  • Demonstrated knowledge in program /project management to include project scope and developing milestones within budget constraints
  • Demonstrated understanding of risk management frameworks to identify and mitigate potential project delays, ensuring focused team performance and on-time deliverables
  • Demonstrated level of managing cross-functional technical teams to deliver high-impact solutions
  • Demonstrated experience developing and conducting briefings to executive level personnel
  • Team player with excellent communication skills and high attention to detail
  • Remote work with on bi-weekly on site meetings, Alexandria VA

Deputy Technical Director, Edge Solutions Preferences:

  • Experience with developing and directing execution of strategic plans
  • Experience with program/project management, managing budgets, establishing product portfolios, aligning engineering, data, and design teams around unified roadmaps supporting strategic goals
  • Leading/directing technical teams, mapping customer requirements to technical work
