Title: Research Associate, Antibody & Protein Engineering

Role Overview:
We are seeking a focused and enthusiastic protein engineer to join our Platform Technologies group. In this role, the Research Associate will work in a small, collaborative team to execute Adimabโ€™s platform for the discovery, optimization and characterization of protein-based therapeutics.

Responsibilities:ย 
  • Designing and executing protein engineering experiments
  • Constructing yeast display libraries and performing FACS selections
  • Basic protein/DNA sequence and structural analysis
  • Basic yeast handling and propagation
  • Collecting, organizing, and analyzing antibody characterization data
  • Collaborating with colleagues and external partners

Needed Upon Hire:
  • B.S., or equivalent practical experience, with training in molecular biology, chemical engineering, or biochemistry
  • At least 2 years of lab experience in an academic or industry settingย 
  • Knowledge of molecular biology, protein engineering, structural biology, and/or flow cytometry
  • Meticulous approach to benchwork and data analysis

Value-added Experience:
  • Experience with protein display technologies (yeast, bacterial and/or ribosomal) desired
  • Knowledge of protein sequence analysis and next-generation sequencing workflows desired
  • Experience with protein structural analysis or computational design methods desired
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate, interpret, and present scientific data
  • Internally motivated with proven track record of operating independently at the bench and bringing projects to completion
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Adaptable and productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Communicates effectively and openly with colleagues and supervisors
  • Resourceful with outstanding execution and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent quantitative skills with a mastery of Excel
