Job description

POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE, Chemical Engineering  - Varchanis Research Group, be responsible for executing theoretical and computational research focused on multiphase flows involving complex fluids that interact with gases, other fluids, or solids. The role also includes examining how these systems respond to perturbations in material properties and environmental conditions. The Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct research within the group’s broader research program, mentor graduate students, and collaborate with researchers in related fields; perform theoretical and computational research; develop, implement, and maintain scientific software; participate in the preparation of manuscripts for publication and of presentations at scientific conferences; participate in the organization of group and department wide collaborative activities including meetings, seminars, and workshops; and assist in student mentorship and share expertise and providing training and guidance to group members and visitors as needed.
