Obesity Medicine APP with Banner University Medicine in Tucson, AZ!
Banner - University Medicine Tucson is actively seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to be part of our dynamic team of Obesity Medicine providers. As a Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant, this role will involve comprehensive obesity care including direct management of both medical and surgical patients with obesity, performance of therapeutic/diagnostic assessments, interpretation of diagnostic tests, prescription of medications, providing education, completing consultations, and research.
Join our collaborative academic environment where you'll receive mentorship and support from experienced bariatric surgeons and other providers in the program and the College of Medicine. This role requires working closely with our multi-disciplinary team in a collaborative approach to patient care.
Work Schedule : Full-Time | M-F | 8-5 | No Call!
Location: Banner - University Medicine North Clinic 3838 N. Campbell Ave., Bldg. 2, 3rd Floor, Clinic H, Tucson, AZ 85719
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Ability to provide excellent patient care by evaluating, tracking, and coaching patient progress through pre and post-operative period, weight management plans, and following ordered labs, tests and studies (Potential for medication management of Diabetes patients based on experience)
  • Strong decision-making ability to function in a collaborative care model
  • Current, unrestricted Arizona license (or ability to obtain)
  • Current prescribing privileges including a DEA license for controlled substances
  • Experience in Obesity Medicine or Endocrinology preferred, but highly qualified recent graduates are welcome to apply
