Meeting the job requirements increases a candidate’s chances of being considered for the role, as it indicates they possess the necessary competencies to perform the job effectively.

What are some common challenges faced by requirements analysts when gathering and documenting requirements?

Requirements Analysts often face challenges such as balancing the differing priorities of stakeholders, ensuring clear and unambiguous documentation, and managing changes to requirements throughout the project lifecycle. Job description

C4I Requirements Management Engineer

The Opportunity:

Are you looking for an opportunity to apply your systems engineering expertise to the development of next-generation Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) capabilities supporting U.S. security cooperation efforts? As a C4I Requirements Management Engineer, you'll help transform operational needs into well-defined engineering products that support the successful delivery of complex System of Systems (SoS) capabilities for U.S. and international partners.

In this role, you'll work closely with government engineers, technical leads, and systems architects to develop, organize, and maintain the engineering products that drive system design and acquisition. You'll apply Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) principles and requirements management tools to capture, decompose, trace, and manage technical requirements throughout the systems engineering lifecycle. Your attention to detail and technical expertise will help ensure engineering products remain accurate, traceable, and aligned with mission objectives while supporting complex C4I capability development.

Join us. The world can't wait.

You Have:

  • 3+ years of experience in systems engineering including requirements development and management
  • Experience using Cameo Systems Modeler, IBM DOORS, DOORS Next, or Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and requirements management tools
  • Experience developing and maintaining engineering products, including Requirements Traceability Matrices (RTM), System Requirements Documents (SRD), Systems Design Documents (SDD), Functional Requirements Documents (FRD), or technical documentation
  • Experience decomposing operational or system requirements into functional and technical requirements for complex System of Systems (SoS) environments
  • Experience supporting systems engineering lifecycle activities, including Systems Engineering and Technical Review (SETR) events
  • Experience supporting Command, Control, Communications, Computers, and Intelligence (C4I) or complex defense systems
  • Knowledge of requirements management, systems architecture, requirements traceability, and configuration management principles
  • Ability to analyze technical requirements and develop high-quality engineering documentation with strict attention to detail
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field

Nice If You Have:

  • Experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) or international security cooperation programs
  • Experience supporting Navy acquisition programs, including PMW, NAVWAR, PEO C4I, or related organizations
  • Experience using SysML or other MBSE methodologies to support systems engineering activities
  • Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering, software, integration, and test teams
  • Experience supporting System of Systems architecture development or C4I capability integration
  • Knowledge of Operational Requirements Documents (ORDs), Concepts of Operations (CONOPS), Capability Development Documents (CDD), or other operational planning artifacts
  • Top Secret clearance
  • Master's degree in an Engineering field

Clearance:

Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information; Secret clearance is required.
