About the Role
The Senior Manager, PR & Communications, leads integrated communications strategies that strengthen Carrier Climate Solutions Transportation (CST)'s reputation, support business growth and enhance employee engagement. This role is responsible for shaping and protecting the organization's voice across key stakeholders, including customers, media, industry stakeholders, community partners and employees.
The role develops and executes communication plans that support business priorities, product innovations, commercial initiatives and organizational change. This individual provides strategic communications counsel to leadership, develops executive messaging and helps ensure consistent, compelling storytelling across internal and external channels.
The ideal candidate combines strong business acumen, exceptional writing skills and deep communications expertise with a passion for translating complex business strategies into clear, engaging narratives. This role will report to the Head of Marketing & Communications for CST and is based at the Centers for Intelligent Buildings in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.
This position follows a hybrid schedule, with 4 days onsite and 1 day remote per week.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Communications
  • Develop and execute integrated communications strategies aligned with business priorities, growth objectives and reputation goals.
  • Serve as a trusted communications advisor to business leaders across multiple functions and regions, shaping key narratives, executive messaging and stakeholder communications.

Public Relations, Thought Leadership & External Communications
  • Lead external communications programs that strengthen CST's market visibility and reputation. Position CST as a leader in connected cold chain, sustainability, electrification and transportation innovation.
  • Develop and execute media relations, thought leadership and storytelling strategies, including press releases, customer success stories, executive communications and stakeholder messaging.
  • Monitor media coverage, industry news and emerging issues to identify risks, opportunities, and timely communications needs.

Employee Communications & Change Management
  • Lead employee communications initiatives that drive engagement, alignment and understanding of business priorities.
  • Develop and execute communication and change management strategies that support key business initiatives, leadership communications, town halls and employee engagement programs.

Social Media & Reputation Management
  • Oversee social media strategy and content development across CST's global channels.
  • Monitor media, social and industry trends to identify communications opportunities and potential reputation risks.
  • Support issues management, crisis communications and rapid-response planning to protect and strengthen Carrier's reputation.

Team Leadership & Communications Operations
  • Lead, coach and develop a team of communications professionals while fostering a high-performing culture.
  • Manage communications tools, processes and governance practices, driving continuous improvement to enhance efficiency, effectiveness and business impact.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, and/or external communications.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing or Journalism.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex business topics into clear, compelling narratives.
  • Experience developing executive communications, media materials, customer stories and thought leadership content.
  • Experience managing media relations, social media and stakeholder communications.
  • Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and cross-functional teams in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience in industrial manufacturing, transportation, logistics, technology or other B2B industries.
  • Experience supporting global or multi-regional organizations.
  • Experience with media monitoring, analytics and communications measurement tools.
  • Experience with crisis communications, issues management and change management.
  • Familiarity with AI-enabled communications tools and digital content optimization.

Pay Range
The annual salary for this position is between $117,500.00 - $234,500.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
Other Compensation
This position is entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
