Job description

A&E Reprographics, Inc. (AE Signs) is a family-owned commercial signage and print company serving Hampton Roads. We're hiring a Sign Production Technician to fabricate and finish commercial signage in our Virginia Beach shop — turning approved designs into install-ready products.

What you'll do:

  • Produce signage using wide-format printers, plotters, laminators, and CNC routers
  • Weed, mask, and apply vinyl graphics; assemble dimensional letters and lightboxes
  • Cut, route, and finish substrates — aluminum, acrylic, PVC, Dibond, and wood
  • Handle basic fabrication and assembly: drilling, riveting, and light welding
  • Run quality control against shop tickets and proofs
  • Maintain equipment, manage material inventory, and keep the shop organized
  • Prep and stage completed jobs for the install crew

What we're looking for:

  • Experience in sign production, print, or fabrication preferred — we'll train the right person
  • Mechanically inclined with strong attention to detail
  • Comfortable with hand tools and shop equipment
  • Able to read specs, measure accurately, and follow production workflows
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Team-oriented with a strong work ethic

Why AE Signs:
Family-owned shop with a real production floor, steady commercial and federal work, and a team that takes pride in the finished product. Full-time with benefits.
