Job Description

Position Summary:

Re-packer must ensure produce items are packaged in accordance to customers specifications (each/ weight) while meeting position and productivity standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Veggie Repack Line:  

  • Reviews assignment sheet and reports to appropriate work station.
  • Applies labels as necessary to individual containers. 
  • Fold corrugated boxes.
  • Fills individual containers of boxes with specific quantity or weight of produce item or items.
  • Weighs Individual packages to verify that the correct weight/amount of product is enclosed. 
  • Sets packages items on trays or slides filled container to coworker. 
  • Place/stack boxes of finished product onto pallets. 
  • At end of shift, the employee is responsible for cleaning work table and surrounding area. This includes wiping down table with rag and sanitizer and sweeping floor. 
  • Responsible for quality and food safety.
  • Runs a report on future orders and build partials per business demand using computer and business software
  • Other duties as assigned

Specialty Repack Line:

  • Runs a report on future orders and build partials per business demand using computer and business software

  • Works exclusively with tomatoes and specialty peppers, and other items assigned by management.
  • Sets packaged items on trays or slides the filled container to coworker.
  • Place/stack boxes of finished product onto pallet.
  • Make adjustments digitally on computer/scanner and creates a digital transfer of product to sales warehouse
  • At end of shift, the employee is responsible for cleaning work table and surrounding area. This includes wiping down table with a rag and sanitizer and sweeping floor.
  • Responsible for quality and food safety.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Product Runner:

  • Reviews and inspects product and sorts per spec for the item being repacked.
  • Waits for product to be brought over by repack lead or other designated personnel.
  • Repacks and stacks finished products on pallets while being conscientious of the surrounds and operate safely.
  • Assist with cleanup and sanitizing tables and sweeping floors after runs are done.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Responsible for quality and food safety.
Qualifications

Desired Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to comprehend simple instructions.
  • Technically capable of operating computers and business software
  • Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations (reading scale).
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved oral instructions.
  • Must follow instructions, respond to management direction.
  • Attendance is critical; employee must be dependable to report to work on time as scheduled. 
  • Ability to observe and follow proper safety procedures, and a willingness to report potentially unsafe conditions.
