Job description

As the Warehouse Lead, you will direct daily warehouse operations and lead a team to ensure all goals and operational objectives are met. In this role, you will assign daily work, supervise picking, receiving, and replenishment, and organize outgoing orders to maintain high accuracy. You will identify areas for operational improvement, update work procedures, maintain warehouse equipment, enforce safety programs, and resolve cross-departmental issues. Maintaining high visibility on the floor, you will lead by example, coach and mentor staff, and work closely with management to drive team performance and overall operational excellence. What You Will Do:

  • Direct daily warehouse operations, supervising picking, receiving, repack, and replenishment to consistently verify outgoing order accuracyΒ Β 

  • Assign daily workloads, maintain a high degree of visibility on the warehouse floor, and ensure all equipment is well-maintained and in proper working orderΒ 

  • Lead by example to actively mentor, train, and motivate staff while coordinating with area managers to address personnel issues and team requests

  • Identify areas for continuous improvement, proactively update existing work procedures, and efficiently resolve cross-departmental warehouse issues

  • Enforce comprehensive safety programs, ensuring all staff comply with safety requirements, warehouse regulations, and mandatory training

  • Maintain a strong working knowledge of all warehouse operations, vendor regulations, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) functions

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Supervisor Responsibilities: YesΒ 

What We Are Looking For:

  • 3 to 5 years of warehouse operations experience combined with up to 3 years of direct leadership or supervisory experience

  • Active Forklift Certification with the ability to safely operate and maintain certification on standup high-reach forklifts, sit-down forklifts, and transporters

  • Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to mentor staff, motivate team members, and enforce high company standards

  • Exceptional time-management and multitasking abilities to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with employees across all levels of the organization

  • Strong work ethic with the physical capability to perform labor-intensive tasks and safely operate large power equipment

  • Proficient computer skills and a deep understanding of warehouse best practices, compliance, and safety regulations

Nice To Have:

  • Working knowledge of WMS (specifically HighJump/KΓΆrber) is a plus

Working Conditions

  • Environment: Warehouse Β 
  • Extreme Exposures: Works in areas requiring exposure to varying temperatures, extreme heat or cold and damp or drafty conditions
  • Schedule: Variable schedule; including nights and weekends – occasional overtime may be required
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Heavy; Lifting up to 75 lbs: regularly lift objects weighing up to 50 lbs and occasionally move objects that weigh more than 100 lbs with a pallet jacket
    • Regularly required to reach with hands and arms
    • Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; must be able to be on feet for majority of shift
    • Frequently grasps, turns, manipulate objects of varying size and weight that require fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination
    • Occasionally required to sit, climb, or balance
    • Vision requirements include ability to perceive things closely, from a distance, peripherally, depth and ability to adjust and focus – reading and visually verifying information
  • Travel Required: Yes – Limited; will be required to travel between multiple worksites based on volume and business needs Β 

What We Offer

The hourly range for this position is $21.62 to 21.82per hour. The base compensation may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.
