Job description

We are looking for a Renewal Account Manager to join our team. This is an amazing opportunity to champion our line of patent and trademark products. If you're experienced in maintaining successful client relationships, managing renewals, driving incremental revenue, and providing invaluable cross-functional perspective on product and process improvements to the client experience we would love to speak with you!

About You - experience, education, skills, and accomplishments

  • 5+ years of sales experience

  • 3+ years of experience in B2B sales

  • 3+ years in an account management, business development, or renewals specialist role

  • At least 1 year of experience in Salesforce.com or a similar tech-based platform/CRM

It would be great if you also have...

  • Experience in Intellectual Property sales or similar industry

  • Understanding of consultative selling and strategic account management

  • Experience in subscription selling, Intellectual Property, or information services

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, making decisions based on data and good judgment and drawing on resources to support decision making when appropriate

  • Capacity to learn and effectively utilize Salesforce.com and other programs relevant to the role

  • Ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile, and draw meaningful conclusions and action plans from data

What will you be doing in this role?

  • Act as an advocate for both the client and Clarivate to ensure positive outcomes

  • Communicating with existing clients by telephone, e-mail, and video calls to sell and retain products and services

  • Identify and pursue uplift opportunities with your team to support our existing clients

  • Identify, manage and resolve issues via collaboration with internal teams

  • Manage all renewal orders through SFDC and customer portals as required

  • Provide weekly reporting to Managers, Specialists and Regional Sales/RAM leaders

  • Executes regular account reviews, including contract status, product migration and cross-sell/upsell opportunity, account penetration, and issue review, providing updated and regular status reports to key stakeholders

  • Actively learn about Clarivate offerings and products

About the Team

This role will report to the Manager of Renewals Sales, working as part of a team across the Americas. You will be a part of a team of 5 colleagues located across the US.

Hours of Work

  • Full Time, permanent

  • This is a hybrid opportunity working 2-3 days a week, preferably in Alexandria VA, Tempe AZ, Denver CO, Kansas City MO/KS, Ann Arbor MI or Philadelphia PA. We encourage all US-based candidates to apply.

Compensation - US only

The expected base salary for this position is $62,000 - $85,000 USD per year.This role is eligible for incentive earnings with a sales target.Individual pay is based upon experience, education, skill and ability, expertise, and relevant factors.In addition to a competitive remuneration package, you will be eligible to participate in a benefits package that includes medical, dental, prescription drug, life insurance, 401k with match, long term disability coverage, vacation, sick time, volunteer time, discount programs, and many more.
