Job description

PolyCon Solutions seeks two Senior Human Resources (HR) Specialists to support our prime contractor and Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) client based out of the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center. The candidate will provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for operational and advisory HR management services, including staffing, recruitment, and personnel action processing.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full range of recruitment processes for assigned organizations, including assisting in developing specialized experience and technical requirements, creating vacancy announcements, conducting qualifications assessments, issuing selection certificates, and facilitating the hiring process.
  • Partner with management in early planning for all aspects of staffing, develop alternative recruitment approaches/strategies to meet customer needs, and identify and cultivate recruitment sources focused on engineering needs, particularly in space launch and related fields.
  • Provide staffing support to assigned organizations and consult with organizations on recruitment strategies and options.
  • Receive and process personnel actions, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and policies.
  • Highly proficient in the use of all Microsoft Office Products (O365), including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, Outlook, Teams, etc.
  • Experience in communicating verbally and in writing to various levels of leadership, including Executive/C-Suite employees, and SMEs to ensure high standards are met.
  • Ability to handle time-sensitive, highly visible, and confidential materials
  • Daily reporting to the HR director and collaboration with Office of Commercial Space Transportation (AST) managers.

Required Qualifications:

  • Federal staffing or recruitment experience and processing a variety of Federal personnel actions.
  • Advising management/customers on a variety of human resource management concepts, laws, policies, practices, and regulations related to executive recruitment and staffing.
  • Conducting job analyses, preparing crediting plans, and determining applicant qualifications.
  • Interpreting and applying human resource management policies.
  • The customer is based at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center in Egg Harbor Township, NJ; this position offers flexibility in work location, with candidates able to work remotely or from a regional FAA office.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with FAA-specific types of systems: Aviator and other HR systems (e.g., FPPS, ITS).
  • Experience supporting FAA/DOT or similar federal organizations.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience or a Master's degree with 2-6 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Must be eligible to work in the U.S. and pass FAA security screening for positions of Public Trust.
